Job Description

A contractor is needed in Broken Arrow, OK for the role of Accountant, who will apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information on and prepare financial reports. Compiles and analyzes financial information io prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities. and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports to summarize current and projected company financial position.
  • Examines variety of accounting documents to verify accuracy and are property supported in accordance with pertinent policy and procedure
  • Establishes, modifies, documents, and coordinates implementation of accounting and accounting control
  • Devises and implements system for general accounting, prepares routine working papers, schedules, exhibits, and summaries indicating the extent of the examination and presenting and supporting findings and recommendations.
  • Complete other ad-hoc reports and other projects and assignments as required.
  • Exhibit and practice professional and courteous behavior while interacting with both internal and external customers.
  • Interact within a cooperative environment through beneficial behavior, commitment to common goals, contribution to problem solving, communication of ideas and suggestions, and encouragement to other employees and departments.
  • Accountable for the security of client materials, projects and business information regarding the methods and techniques used in the production and usage of client products.

  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of eight years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and expertise for this level usually results from internal progressive experience. However, selection for this position is based on the demonstrated ability of the person lo successfully fulfill the requirements listed.
  • Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
  • PCs, ten-key and basic office equipment
  • Fluency in English, through both verbal and written communications; Able to read and interpret documents: Able to write routine reports and correspondence: Able to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, and area.
  • Able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
  • Able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in write, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
