Job Description
The Senior SAP Software Engineer in this contract-to-hire role is responsible for developing, maintaining, and identifying improvements by planning, implementing, and monitoring software framework solutions. Identifies and develops product specification, system design, development, and system integration for new and existing software applications.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties are essential to the successful and satisfactory performance of this job. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide application support for an SAP ECC R3 environment consisting of AP, AR, FI, CoPa, MM, PO
- Collaborate with cross-functional areas on products and programs that will contribute to client’s strategic direction, development, and future growth
- Monitor, configure, and improve integration with SAP
- Enter and track time, tasks using Azure Development Ops
- Participate in all SCRUM ceremonies
- Consult with users on problem determination and provide root cause analysis in a timely manner
- Provide 24×7 on-call support, after-hours, and weekend work as needed
- Ability to mentor other team members, providing feedback and guidance when needed
- Accountable and responsible for the accuracy and completeness of assigned work and results
- Prioritize and manage workload and communicate issues clearly
- Complete other tasks as required
- Travel when required
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience
- 10+ years of experience in SAP software development and support
- Solid experience with SAP S4 Hana, BTP, GRC, SAP Cloud ConnectorExcellent organizational skills, including the ability Advanced experience in SAP ECC R3 configuration and ABAP programming
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the entire software development life cycle including requirements gathering and analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation for various development platforms.
- Experience in implementing best practices within the SAP business process framework
- Upgrade from ECC R3 to S/4 Hana experience strongly preferred
- Experience with SAP Payroll, Successfactors, Fieldglass, Concur is a plus
