Our Coatesville, Pennsylvania client has a contract to hire opportunity for a Manufacturing Planner who is responsible for ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently, coordinating production schedules, managing inventory, and collaborating with Client engineering and other various departments to meet production goals.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, maintain, and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of
    products.
  • Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure material availability and resolve production issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and work with the purchasing team to manage inventory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain production planning and control systems.
  • Prepare and distribute production schedules and work orders to manufacturing departments.
  • Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data to determine manufacturing processes, tools, and manpower requirements.
  • Develop and maintain metrics to track production performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with AS9100 and other industry standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed quotations for manufacturing requirements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Coordinate with the Quality Control team to ensure product quality standards are met.
  • Create and manage production reports for review by management.

 

KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials requirements planning (MRP).
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and quality control processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

 

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS / CLEARANCES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing planning or a similar role.
  • Certification in production and inventory management (e.g., CPIM) is a plus.
