Columbus, Ohio client has an opening for a Content Operations Support contractor who will be responsible for providing general support, performing necessary clerical and technical tasks. Receives primary directions from managers, supervisors, or other lead positions. May interact with internal and external customers, vendors, and organizational staff of all levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities include general business/office procedures, electronic input and editing, as well as researching, analyzing, and determining the appropriate information for all document types.
  • Responsible for ensuring all data and information output of Editorial Analysis is in computer-readable form.
  • Ensures all data for users is consistent, accurate, and published within the currency and quality standards established by the client.
  • The Management team will provide task lists for specific job functions. Although the tasks are separate, cross training may occur.
  • Provides technical guidance and information to inter and intra department staff for non-patent and patent processing systems.
  • Preparing justification for production systems to enhance the processing overall efficiency.
  • Researches and corrects internal and external customer complaints and questions.
  • Compiles weekly and monthly statistics for management planning, budget, and setting production standards.
  • Liaison for bib data and input questions from the Input Centers.
  • Works with multiple departments and Coordinators, Project Leaders, and Programmers beta testing software releases for the non-patent and patent systems.
  • Input bib data for all production and staff routed source document packages received to LEAP.
  • Daily monitor and prioritize the production work in process in the Receipts Processing Patent, Support, Data Entry and Assignment Production Groups to ensure that production currency and schedules are met.
  • Monitors computer listings, printouts, and report system problems. Monitors publisher and vendor web sites for gap, electronic publisher and URL documents and publications needed for our database building.
  • Performs daily production check-ins, claiming gap issues, wanding, cutting, scanning, initial data entry, pagination, repair, matching, sorting, resolve diagnostic warnings and errors, opening mail, dispatching for patent and non-patent documents and source document packages.
  • Audit random documents for quality of bib data on the database and prepare written improvement recommendations for management.
  • Performs initial bib/abstract data entry for patent and non-patent documents.
  • Corresponds with publishers and vendors for non-patent gap issues.
  • Corrects diagnostic errors and warnings in LEAP, OLP, OI, BRE, DBE, PIP and UTED for non-patent and patent documents.
  • Quality checks the page positives for each issue of the Patent Index.
  • Assists with projects that effects production and the building of our database (i.e. electronic publishers, clinical experiment, OI, ESM, Japanese Name Dictionary, English translation, journals scanning CIN, CD-Rom via ESM and Disaster Recovery Planning).

 
Job Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience
