Our Columbus, Ohio client has a contract-to-hire opening for a .NET Developer who will provide technical consulting and will assist in leading a team of Applications Developers on complex projects.

Must have the ability to design, develop and implement cost-effective information technology solutions by creating new and modifying existing software applications that are the most complex in nature. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating times and desired results. Responsible for requirements gathering, program design, coding, testing, debugging, documentation and operations support of all systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Product Owner to create and refine user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Participate in quarterly and create Iteration plans and Team Objectives
  • Develop and commit to Team Quarterly Objectives and iteration goals
  • Estimate the size and complexity of team work
  • Use pair programing, the architectural review board and other practices for frequent and ongoing emergent architecture
  • Determine and execute the technical design in their area of concern, within the architectural guidelines
  • Conduct research, design, prototype, and other exploration activities
  • Support and/or create the automation necessary to build the continuous delivery pipeline (testing, CI/CD)
  • Create the work products defined by their features
  • Active participant in Agile ceremonies (Standup, Retro, Sprint Planning, etc.)
  • Demo and train peers on solutions at regularly scheduled intervals
  • Iteratively keep technical documentation up to date
  • Communicate progress and status via the sprint board

 

Experience:

  • 7+ years of development experience
  • 7+ years of development experience with C#
  • 5+ years of development experience with .NET Core 3.1
  • 5+ years of development experience with ReactJS
  • Microsoft development environments (Visual Studio, C#, SQL Management Studio)
  • Knowledge working on Azure DevOps Pipelines
  • In depth knowledge of Microservices
  • Knowledge in Docker and Kubernetes
  • Cloud Computing
  • Experience with Unit Testing (XUnit, Codecoverage)
  • PCI compliance best practices and methods
  • Thorough understanding in systems and data processing policies, practices, and procedures
  • Experience working with Kafka or another streaming messenger platform is a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics or related field or equivalent business experience
  • Some weekend and after-hours work will be required for system problems and scheduled maintenance windows
  • Limited travel may be required (5% or less)
  • On Call

Preferred:
  • Knowledge or experience with sales commission based businesses and/or eCommerce
  • Distribution, Supply Chain Management (SCM) systems, ERP and methodologies
  • Mobile Device Development
  • Direct Selling model or sales based incentive plans
