Technical Project Manager is needed for a full time remote role with our client. The role will work within the Solution Sales customer-facing team to manage enterprise, government, and academic projects for marquee customers. 

The Presales Technical Project Manager follows project management methodologies using standard processes and procedures to provide a structured, consistent approach to planning, organizing, and controlling activities. 

Requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology field. 
  • Five or more years of technical project management experience. 
  • Active PMP certification. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong project governance skills. 
  • Excellent client relationship management, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills. 
  • Ability to communicate to technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Ability to perform with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced, demanding environment. 
  • To be self-motivated, a self-starter and taking initiative. 
  • Proficiency using Microsoft applications, web conferencing and collaboration tools. 
  • Experience leading consulting engagements. 
  • Agile project methodologies experience is desired. 


The work is typically done remotely, however, there may be occasional travel to offices and customer locations. 
 
Key responsibilities:

  • Successfully manage and execute assigned projects on-schedule, on-budget, to mutual-agreed to scope and customer satisfaction. 
  • Accountable for in-scope, on-schedule, on-budget and high-quality delivery of projects. 
  • Follows and exemplifies consistent project management practices, processes, and metrics. 
  • Develop clear, business language project presentations for business senior leadership to support swift decision making and issue resolution when needed. 
  • Provides regular project status reporting for internal and external stakeholders. 
  • Provides project leadership and governance for small to large opportunities from presales to deployment.  
  • Facilitating the definition and documentation of project requirements, scope, and deliverables. 
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, action logs, risk and issue logs. 
  • Ensuring all requirements are managed to within project scope. 
  • Matrix manage cross-functional, high performance, virtual teams. 
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the client for all project-related activities 
  • Actively managing customer expectations. 
  • Authority to act independently and promptly escalate issues that require management attention. 
  • Run customer facing project team meetings and internal company meetings. 
  • Be a project management thought leader within the organization in helping stream-line and standardize processes. 
  • Incorporate best practices into the organization, beginning with project / program management practices.
