The IT infrastructure department with our Greenville, SC client has a contract need for an IT Technical Project Support consultant. The department focuses on fiber optics and copper cabling from IT room to wherever the end device may be to get the IT connection directly (not via wireless). This includes cabling, walls and ceilings.

This role is to support vendors (not manage them) to get them access into IT rooms and scheduling any type of work they have throughout the plant and US region. A lot of the work is dealing with new construction or renovations. Often times this role has to support this and making sure the business is getting everything where they need where they need it.

Responsibilities:

• Applications this position will use: Teams, Jira, M365, Vizio, CAD, LINKWARE, SAP, Confluence, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, CMDB
• A lot of standards to follow and to be compliant with global IT and other audit points.
• This role also helps on the operational side, making sure that there are no alarms and troubleshooting things that come up day to day.
• Manages any type of outages and troubleshoots to get up back and operational as quickly as possible.
• When there is a construction project, will need to go to this construction site 1-2 times a week for walk throughs. This all changes with the construction projects at the given time.
• This is not a desk job. Travel: 1-2 trips a year (within the U.S)
• This position is mainly onsite but there is potential for 10-20% work from home after the initial onboarding period is complete.

Qualifications

• Must be: Familiar with construction environments
• Preferred: BICSI certification
