Columbus, Ohio client is seeking a Lead Business Analyst for a contract opportunity working directly with the WMS vendor, the client business, and the IT team, and documenting the requirements.
Hybrid, minimum 3 day at on-site (Columbus, OH 43230)
Lead Business Analyst:
- Qualifications: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Finance, along with 5+ years of experience in retail supply chain, logistics, or related analyst roles.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel) and experience with retail ERP or warehouse systems is often required.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in retail, supply chain, logistics.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to work backward from an issue to its root cause
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments and with customers
Must haves:
- Minimum 5 years of Retail experience
- minimum 5 years of Supply Chain Experience
- 7-15 years of overall BA experience
Key Responsibilities and Skills:
- The Lead Business Analyst for supply chain oversees the end-to-end flow of apparel, analyzing data to optimize sourcing, inventory, and logistics. They bridge warehouse operations with corporate strategies, leading process improvements, managing system requirements, and using data to boost efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Process Modeling & Optimization: Lead sessions to map and improve supply chain processes, including inventory allocation, distribution, and warehouse operations.
- Requirements & Project Management: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business needs into technical requirements for system enhancements (e.g., in a Scrum/Agile environment).
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze performance metrics to identify root causes of inefficiencies and recommend solutions to enhance product flow from manufacturer to consumer.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse staff, logistics managers, and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance in logistics operations.
