Our New York client has a direct-hire, remote opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer with 5- 10 years of experience, a strong sense of ownership, and who enjoys leading projects from inception to production. 

About the role: 
We’re building the future of AI-assisted service delivery—and we’re looking for an experienced engineer to join our team. This is a rare opportunity to shape tools that don’t yet exist, supported by a product-driven culture, strong customer traction, and deep industry insight. You’ll collaborate with exceptional engineers tackling challenges in real-time systems, large-scale data integrations, and AI-powered automation. We’re on a mission to redefine what an engineering team can achieve in the IT/MSP world.

We seek engineers who have a deep understanding of building scalable backend systems, a strong sense of ownership, and who enjoy leading projects from inception to scaling them in production.

Our tech stack currently involves PHP (Laravel/Horizon), NodeJS, TypeScript, MySQL.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade services and applications that are scalable and reliable
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code, adhering to industry and company best practices
• Participate in code and RFC reviews and help establish high engineering standards across the team
• Inspire and mentor less experienced engineers, supporting technical growth within the team
• Lead and contribute to the design and architecture of new systems and projects
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Customer Success, Service Desk and even Sales teams
• Contribute to monitoring, observability, and performance optimization in production environments

Qualifications: 

• Minimum of 7+ years of professional software engineering experience (post-internship)
• Track record of building and launching scalable and high-quality products
• Ability to translate business and product requirements into effective engineering solutions
• Eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment, continuously learn, and refine your craft
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritization skills in high-pressure environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technology field
