We have a contract requirement for a mid-level Network Engineer to provide dedicated onsite support for our network operations and ongoing project activities. We are looking for a qualified resource with strong hands-on experience in the following areas:
 

• Perform network-engineering tasks such as assessing and implementing firewall rules, establishing VPNs with partner companies, routing & switching, and implementing access control lists, evaluating and installing software upgrades on network and security equipment.
• Understanding and working knowledge of TCP/IP, access-control lists, VPNs, SSL, IPSEC, DNS/IPAM and routing protocols such as OSPF, SDWAN, STP, and 802.x
• Working experience with Cisco routing and switching, SD-WAN/Access, Cisco Any connect VPN environment
• Experience with configuring, deploying and supporting Wireless, VoIP and Video teleconferencing solutions
• Excellent problem solving / analytical skills and knowledge of analytical tools
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
• Developing and maintaining network inventory, SOPs and network diagrams

 
The resource must be available to work onsite five days a week in Bethpage, NY, with flexibility to support planned after-hours activities as needed.
