Client is currently in search of a Senior Project Manager / Scrum Master contractor to join their business in Norcross, GA. This contract position requires the individual to be in the office 4 days a week. This Senior Project manager will be responsible for managing the implementation of a new Config, Price & Quote system. We have selected the Symetri Ruler product and framework which will optimize and streamline the generation process, ensuring pricing accuracy and enhancing the overall customer experience. This project will allow KawneerDirect to offer more products for online selling.
 
Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under direction of IT PMO/Program Manager, responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle and is the single point of contact for this project. 
  • Will manage the delivery of this large and complex multi-disciplinary project within a predetermined budget, scope, and schedule without falling short on high quality standards.
  • The skills and ability to take this project from original concept through final implementation while achieving the desired business results.
  • Able to manage multiple workstreams within the CPQ Project framework and ensure project details are defined and deliverables met. 
  • IF applicable able to work within a Scrum environment to plan and deliver incremental software in defined sprints.
    • Managing the backlog, facilitating meetings, and coaching the Agile process will be involved on a day-to-day level.
    • Identify areas where we can improve delivery, increase velocity, and have better overall user experience.
    • Facilitating team meetings, including the daily Stand-up / Scrum, Grooming Session, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review / Demo, and Sprint Retrospective.
    • Promotes adherence to Agile software development best practices and acts as an Agile coach to the project team.
  • Conduct ongoing IT audit tests as part of organization’s risk management protocols.
  • Define, and implement key metrics to ensure all phases and tracks remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Individuals have strong understanding of project budget management.  Will be responsible for tracking project cost to plan.

  • Must be able to mitigate potential risks, troubleshoot issues, and share progress status reports, and key metrics (KPIs) with senior management.
  • Ability to self-organize work, prioritize and multiple tasks with a strong sense of urgency and is results-orientation.
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Strong motivator, who can courageously lead teams and third-party vendors through all project phases.
  • Excellent time management, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
  • Quick learner that is adaptable to innovative technologies and applications.
  • Strong knowledge of PMO tools and methodologies.
  • Experience managing projects with waterfall and agile methodologies. 
  • Experience managing large scale complex projects. 
  • Able to resolve technical and operational issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills with key stakeholders.

 
Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • 12-15 years of project management experience.
  • Knowledge of standard PM tools (MS Project Professional, SharePoint, Visio, MS Office Suite)
  • Working knowledge of JIRA.
  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize, communicate, present, and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Individuals must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

 
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Has experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) implementation or development.  
  • Agile certifications to include: CSM, CSP, PMP or Lean Six Sigma.
  • Possesses a business and systems acumen of the Building and Construction industry.
